There is a close relationship between coolant/water temperature and engine performance.

When the coolant temperature reaches a certain threshold, in order to avoid possible damage, the ECU will employ some safeguards including fuel increase and retarding the ignition, both of which cause a reduction of engine power.

The purpose of this product is to help maintain the maximum horsepower by keeping the temperature of the coolant at around 75℃– 80℃. It activates the fan at 80℃ degrees instead of 95℃ to better utilize the high specific heat of water. This can help reduce power loss, knocking, and various negative effects from heat soak. It works well for all types of cooling systems from the stock radiator to a multi layer racing radiator.

Furthermore, by decreasing the thermo switch activation point (80℃) and deactivation point (75℃), it smoothes out the on-off operation.
